New wax removal system purchased
New equipment measures Hemoglobin without
sticking for blood
A new ear wax removal system was purchased which
should make this procedure much easier to perform.
We take great pride in keeping up to date with the latest
technology. We have purchased an instrument that can
measure hemoglobin without sticking a child's finger.
Hemoglobin levels are used to determine if a patient is
anemic.

HPV VACCINE NOW RECOMMENDED FOR BOYS
The Gardisil, HPV vaccine, has been approved for
administration to boys. HPV virus has been found to cause oral
cancer in men between 30 to 40 years of age.  It is
recommended for boys between 11-12 years of age. Patients
between the ages of 13-18 years of age are recommended to
receive the vaccine as a catchup. Our recommendation: 1) We
believe that the best time to receive this vaccine, just like the
girls, is 15 or 16 years of age. 2) We suggest you check with
your health plan first to make sure it's covered. Sometimes
health plans are slow to cover newly approved vaccine
recommendations.
